Kenisha Pratt :: Biography
You may not heard of Kenisha Pratt but rest assured you have heard some of her work. Working with heavyweight artists such as Brandy, TLC, Toni Braxton, Faboulous, Petey Pablo and many more; you are sure to have heard some of her catchy hooks and playful melodies being sung by major artists over some of the US's biggest producers beats.
It all started out when Kenisha met top producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins and was brought in to the Darkchild camp. During this time Kenisha started working with Brandy for the first time and... the rest is history. On Brandy´s "Full Moon" album Kenisha wrote 6 songs and went on to receive the BMI Songwriting Achievement for the song "What About Us".
Writing alongside a "super" producer like Rodney Jerkins, Kenisha's talents began to get noticed by other artists, such as TLC, Toni Braxton, Petey Pablo, and Fabolous. Subsequently, as a result of this furthur work, other producers started to notice this talented young ladies writing skills. This led to Kenisha working with other top boys such as: Mike City, Roy Hamilton, Soul Shock & Karlin, Robert "Big Bert" Smith, Bink!, Cool & Dre, Trak Boyz, Brian Michael Cox, and producer extraordinaire Timbaland on the latest Brandy album.
In 2004 Kenisha went over to Europe for a one month writing trip and wrote with some of the worlds top writers/producers such as Anders Bagge, Arnthor Birgersson, Rami.
Since that first trip she has made a further two visits to Europe, working with more producers in Sweden, Denmark and London; making a big impression on all of those she has worked with.
In 2006 Kenisha signed a co-publishing deal with Warner Chappell Scandinavian and she is managed by one of Europes biggest management company Steven Budd mgmt.
