Colin Emmanuel (C Swing) :: Biography

With the attitude of "there are only twelve notes no matter what you're doing" Colin Emmanuel is recognised as a talented producer/mixer/writer/remixer. He has established himself as a UK producer/mixer who understands and can work with the best of R&B talent from around the world. His impressive discography includes many major artists including Mary J. Blige, Terri Walker, Nate James, Estelle, D'Angelo, En Vogue, KRS1, Beverly Knight, Jamelia and Wyclef to name just a few.

Colin's writing skills have also seen him contribute towards Beverly Knight's gold selling album 'Who Am I' and the majority of writing on Jamelia's first two albums, 'Drama' and the platinum selling 'Thank You' including her breakthrough hit 'Money'.

His approach has also seen him successfully step into other musical arenas by producing The Beta Bands 'Hot Shots II' album to much critical acclaim as well as continuing to produce Hip Hop records with artists such as KRS1, David Banner, Rodney P, Braintax, Mystro and a host of others.

Starting out as Definition of Sound's programmer, he moved into remixing under the name of C.Swing, before eventually moving into production, writing and mixing.

Last year saw Colin team up with Ron Ware to produce a co-write and produce a track for the Slumber Party Girls in the States. Currently Colin has completed the production and mixing duties for World Beatbox champion Joel Turner in Australia and is now in the middle of producing an album for UK independent Hip Hop legend Braintax. He is also continuing to work with bands of various styles as well as starting work on his 2nd album.

Colin largely works out of his own studio based in the West End.
