Biography
Marc Urselli, a highly acclaimed figure in the music industry, boasts a remarkable career as a 7-time Grammy Award-nominated and 3-time Grammy Award-winning audio engineer, music producer, mixer, sound designer, and Front of House live sound engineer. Residing between New York and London, Marc’s daily routine involves attending an average of one show per day and jetting off every other week to collaborate with artists worldwide.
In 2020, Marc received two Grammy Award nominations for his outstanding contributions to Terri Lyne Carrington’s “Waiting Game” from the Social Science album and Claudia Acuña’s “Turning Pages.” Notably, he completed the recording and mixing of all 26 tracks for the BMG UK double album “AngelHeaded Hipster: the Songs of Marc Bolan and T.REX.” This tribute to the music of T.Rex, celebrating their Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction in 2020, featured artists like U2, Elton John, Nick Cave, Joan Jett, Kesha, and more.
Marc’s extensive portfolio includes collaborations with Lou Reed, Mike Patton, John Zorn, Laurie Anderson, and mixing for renowned artists like Sting, Keith Richards, Jeff Beck, and The Beach Boys. His versatility spans across genres, covering rock, pop, metal, jazz, experimental, avant-garde, electronica, contemporary classical, and new music.
Beyond his work in the studio, Marc is involved in composing music for collaboration albums, film, and television, as well as creating sound design for commercials and art installations. Recognized as an environmentally-conscious entrepreneur, Marc’s diverse interests include writing, global travel, kitesurfing, hiking, and collecting guitars, art, and exploring web design.
