Simon Gogerly
Mixer / Programmer / Producer
Simon was trained at London's prestigious Mayfair Studios by John Hudson. During his four years there he progressed from assisting to mixing tracks for Soul II Soul, The Farm and The Art of Noise.
Since going freelance, Simon has worked with a variety of producers as a specialist mix engineer including Stephen Hague, Sly & Robbie, Definition Of Sound, Boilerhouse and, for the past few years, Nellee Hooper. He's worked on tracks for New Order, Maxi Priest, Bob Marley, Texas, Stereophonics and Beverley Knight amongst others. He also worked on a number of Hip-Hop and R&B remixes for artists such as Missy Elliot, Busta Rhymes, Lil' Kim, Rakim, Mase, Jamiroquai, Simply Red and Sia.
With Nellee Hooper, Simon has mixed tracks for U2, Massive Attack, Lamb, Shaznay Lewis and Perry Farrell, and has also recorded/programmed tracks on Gwen Stefani's "Love Angel Music Baby" and No Doubt's triple US platinum album "Rocksteady". He recently had a UK No.1 single with U2's "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own" and a UK No.4 single with Jay Sean's "Stolen" and has independently mixed tracks for Jay Sean, Killa Kela and Kevin Mark Trail.
Simon Gogerly won a grammy at the 2006 Grammy Awards for his work on U2's album "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb". He was also nominated for his work on the multi platinum selling album "Love, Angel, Music, Baby" by Gwen Stefani.
Simon has his own SSL studio equipped with Protools & Logic.
