Tore Johansson

Songwriter / Producer

With a background as a musician and songwriter, Tore gained a huge amount of experience in his early career by playing in local bands as a guitarist / bass-player / singer / songwriter in Malmo in his native Sweden. In the early 90s he started Tambourine Studios where in 1994 he recorded The Cardigans' debut album. Since then he has gone on to produce all their hits and a total of six albums.

Tore produced the eponymous debut album for Franz Ferdinand including the singles "Take Me Out", "The Dark Of The Matinée", "Darts of Pleasure" and "Michael". The album has sold more than four million copies world-wide and the band are currently taking the US by storm.

Tore recently completed new albums for the Cardigans, Junior Senior and OK GO as well as producing and playing in his own band project "The Gospel". He is currently producing albums for Nicole Atkins, Good Shoes, The Redwalls and Little Flames.
