London-based producer/songwriter Emre began making music with an 8-track tape recorder and an acoustic guitar in his home studio. This diy attitude served his band Years & Years well as he recorded and produced their early songs. After their first EP, the band released two further singles with French label Kitsune, eventually signing to Polydor Records. From then on, it was a sharp rise as the band won the BBC Sound of 2015 award, followed swiftly by the platinum-selling single “King” and number one album “Communion”.
In the last 5 years with Years & Years international multiplatinum success, Emre has toured all over the globe, however, it is still the recording studio where he feels most at home and, in 2017, Emre set up his own studio in north London and began producing and co-writing with other artists.
Emre is currently working with a diverse range of artists including Nakhane (the brilliant South African singer/songwriter), Cloves (the talented Australian newcomer) and Petit Noire (the extraordinary South African / Congolese musician) as well as a host of others. He is also recording the second EP for his grunge side-project Exit Kid.
