Biography
Chris is a self-taught artist based in Marseille (French Riviera).
She set up her studio in a former garage converted into an art’s studio, a laboratory for artistic expressions to experiment sound for tours, albums, performances, films, theatre, video games.
Her gentle, dedicated, passionate and patient approach to songwriting and producing is multifaceted and genre-defying.
Over the last decade she has worked as a musician, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist in bands like Jeanne Added, Adam Naas and Merryn Jeann.
Chris graduated to full production duties on the Spaceman album (80’s British cult punk/glam-rock band Living in Texas) and in 2022, on the album “Goldie and the Kiss of Andromeda” for the amazing composer and performer Adam Naas. In 2024, she produced the Janis album (start release October), the most sincere and gifted of pop icons.
Her personal projects are “In Case of fire” a feminist hip hop collective (EP ‘Want some fruit?’ out now) and Confuse, her solo project of surreal dark lo-fi pop songs (1st album out).
Chris’s universe is faithful to the values of a queer independent artist.
With a deep belief of anti-capitalist and anti-colonialist direction, she brings valuable listening for a REAL safe studio place to her production work with an angry undertone and grandiose overtones,
Confuse resonates beyond the box.
