Biography
Trevor Yasuda is an accomplished producer, mixer, engineer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles. With over a decade of experience, he has become a trusted creative force behind numerous critically acclaimed and Grammy-nominated records in the pop, indie, hip hop and alternative music scenes.
A graduate of the prestigious Musicians Institute in Hollywood, in 2012, he joined Rick Nowels Productions in Santa Monica, where he quickly distinguished himself as a key collaborator of the legendary songwriter —producing, engineering, mixing, and performing across a wide array of projects.
Yasuda has played a significant role in shaping the sound of modern pop through his work with some of the industry’s most iconic artists including contributions to Lana Del Rey’s albums Born to Die, Ultraviolence, Honeymoon, Lust for Life, Norman Fucking Rockwell!, and Chemtrails Over the Country Club, as well as the Grammy-nominated single “Young and Beautiful” from The Great Gatsby soundtrack. His discography also includes work with Dua Lipa, Kesha, Zara Larsson, Alessia Cara, Marina, Stevie Nicks, Miguel, FKA twigs, and Lykke Li. Notably, several of these albums—including Norman Fucking Rockwell!, Lust for Life, and Rainbow—received Grammy nominations.
He toured internationally and domestically as the musical director, lead guitarist, and keyboardist for the Darren Hayes “Do You Remember? Tour: Celebrating 25 Years of Savage Garden.”
Yasuda is also the co-founder of Bermudas Sound Co., a creative company specializing in original music and sound design for commercials, film, and brand campaigns. His work has been featured in campaigns for Levi’s, Tinder, Vans, Bravo, Netflix, TLC, Toy Machine, and Reef. He has also composed original scores for several independent films, including Positive Vibration, Can’t Steal Our Vibe, and Breaking Boundaries (produced by Vans).
Yasuda’s musical skill set encompasses guitar, bass, keyboards, programming, and sound design and with a deep musical intuition and a meticulous approach to production, he is a vital contributor to the evolution of contemporary music.
