Biography
Guy Chambers is one of the UK’s most successful songwriters and producers, having collaborated with artists such as Tina Turner, Kylie Minogue, Scissor Sisters, Diana Ross, Tom Jones, James Blunt, Rufus Wainwright, Mark Ronson and many more. In the past year, he has produced for The Corrs, Matteo Bocelli & Sanah, Nathan Carter, Damian Lewis and Dan Sultan.
He is perhaps best known for his long-standing partnership with Robbie Williams, co-writing and producing iconic hits such as ‘Angels’, ‘Millennium’, ‘Feel’, ‘Let Me Entertain You’ and ‘Rock DJ’. For his work with Williams, Chambers has won multiple awards, including three BRITs, three Ivor Novello Awards (among them Song of the Decade for Angels), and a Q Classics Songwriter Award.
Their first work together, Williams’ debut solo album ‘Life Thru A Lens’, was released in 1997, with singles ‘Angles’ and ‘Let Me Entertain You’ helping to propel the album into the UK No.1 spot. Over the next five years, the pair wrote and recorded a string of four hit albums in ‘I’ve Been Expecting You’, ‘Sing When You’re Winning’ and ‘Escapology’. All topped the UK album charts, as well as reaching No. 1 in several other countries worldwide. That’s not to forget the dozen or so hit singles, including four UK No.1s.
In 2019 Chambers released his debut solo album ‘Go Gentle Into The Light’ a collection of some of the best-loved songs that he and Williams have written together.
Beyond pop anthems, Chambers has composed for TV, film and stage. His credits include The Boy in the Dress for the Royal Shakespeare Company, as well as the Sky Original films A Christmas No.1 (2021) and The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland (2024).
