Biography
Sarah Gillespie, a singer-songwriter, lyricist, and producer of critical acclaim, has left an indelible mark on the music scene.
In collaboration with her bandmate, Mercury-nominated composer Kit Downes, she co-produced her 2019 album “Wishbones.” This venture propelled her into an expanded role as a producer, taking her to Berlin’s Hansa Studio and London’s Eastcote Studio. There, she has worked with emerging talents across genres like jazz, punk, pop, folk, and indie-rock, collaborating with artists such as Susy Thomas, Marta Capponi, and Grace Mann.
In 2020, Gillespie founded the Create Now Academy, a platform offering songwriting mentorship to women and girls, further solidifying her commitment to nurturing musical talent.
Her artistic endeavors have not gone unnoticed, earning 4 and 5-star reviews from esteemed publications such as The Guardian, Independent, Jazzwise, Times, and Mojo. Notably, iconic British musician Robert Wyatt has also lauded her work.
