Biography
Shuta Shinoda is a Japanese Record Producer, Mixer, and Engineer based at London’s RAK Studios. Known for an approach rooted in analog recording and tape, Shuta balances the character of traditional studio techniques with the demands of modern high-fidelity production.
His work has contributed to multiple Mercury Prize-nominated and SAY Award-winning projects for artists including Ghostpoet and Anna Meredith. A versatile collaborator, his credits span a diverse range of names including Hot Chip, Spiritualized, Daughter, and Jehnny Beth, with releases on premier labels such as Universal, Warner, Domino, 4AD, and Warp.
Recognised for his technical and creative excellence, Shuta was named the MPG Breakthrough Engineer of the Year in 2021 and is a 2025 nominee for MPG Breakthrough Producer of the Year.
