Biography
Shuta Shinoda is a Japanese Record Producer, Mixer, Engineer based in east London.
Having studied an audio engineering course at SAE Institute London, He started working as a tape op in one of the busiest recording studio complexes in Tokyo.After moving back to London, he based himself at Hackney Road Studios where he perfected his skills both in Digital and analogue recording, where he records on a Studer A80 2” machine.
Some career highlights include working on Hot Chip, Alexis Taylor, Joe Goddard, Spiritualized, Daughter, GhostPoet, Anna Meredith, Jehnny Beth, Red Snapper, Lawrence (Felt, Demin), Baio (Vampire Weekend) and many more.
His work has already garnered two Mercury Prize Awards (2015-GhostPoet “Shedding Skin” and in 2020 Anna Meredith’s “FIBS”), and SAY Awards (2016-Anna Meredith “Varmints”, 2018-Babe ”Tell & Kiss”, 2020-Anna Meredith “FIBS”).
Shuta won the Music Producer Guild MPG “Breakthrough Engineer of the Year 2021”, alongside three albums that have also been nominated for “UK Album Of The Year” long-list in 2021.
